What’s on offer?
With the increasing number of women taking on leadership roles in regional broadcasting, CIRCOM Regional is now taking applications for its October 2022 ‘Stepping Up’ event.
Aimed at women with 3 years’ experience or less in a leadership role, this event will provide a safe space in which to share the challenges of leading teams. It will help new female leaders develop confidence in themselves and in their leadership.
Schedule:
Day 1 - Arrival (19:00 – 21:30)
- Working welcome dinner on arrival
Day 2 - Full Day (09:00 – 17:00)
- Sharing the challenges of being a woman in leadership
- Understanding your leadership style and what how it impacts your team
- How to develop confidence as a leader
- Free evening
Day 3 - Half Day (09:00 – 14:00, includes closing lunch)
- The skills of being a coaching style leader and why it matters
- Sharing our work dilemmas. Get your colleagues help in moving forward.3
Who it’s for?
For women new* to leading teams in regional broadcasting. (*With around 3 years or less in a leadership role. But we can be flexible!) They can be working on any platform, in any genre, or in a technical or strategic role. But they must be leading other people.
What can I expect?
You can expect an informal and safe space in which to share honestly the challenges you face as a leader in regional broadcasting. Designed to be highly interactive, there will be sessions offering tools and techniques to help build confidence both in yourself and in your leadership. Participants will do most of the talking and discussing. More experienced female leaders will join as guests to offer advice and share their insights into leading teams.
When will it take place?
The event will start at 19:00 on the evening of Wednesday 12th October 2022 and end at 14:00 on Friday 14th October 2022.

The event will take place at France Télévisions, Pl. de Bordeaux, 67000 Strasbourg, France
What level of English do I need?
You need to be comfortable speaking and discussing topics in English. This event relies heavily on contributions from delegates.
How many spaces are available?
There are 15 places available. Each station can send a maximum of 2 women. Places will be assigned on a first come, first served basis

What accommodation is available?
Rooms can be booked at Ibis Budget Strasbourg Centre République:
23A rue Oberlin – 67000 Strasbourg (The hotel is only 5 to 10 minutes’ walk from France Télévisions).
France Télévisions has a special rate with the Ibis:
- 72 € Single room/night – including breakfast.
- The tourist tax is 0.77 euros per night and per person.
After your registration, you will receive a document to confirm your room reservation at the hotel with the FTV-CIRCOM preferential rate. You will have to send it back to the management of the Ibis Budget Hotel once completed.
Who pays for what?
Travel and accommodation to be paid by delegate’s home station.
Evening meal on day 1 offered by CIRCOM Regional.
Lunch on day 2 and 3 is provided by France Télévisions.
Any other expenses, including food are to be paid for by the delegates
