CIRCOM Regional held its fourth 'Stepping Up' training event at France 3 Television in Strasbourg.

Thirteen female participants from Croatia, the Czech Republic, Ireland, the Basque Country in Spain, Sweden, the UK and Scotland attended. Some had a few months' experience, while others had more. All felt that they needed this training for leadership roles. 

Participants could share the challenges they were facing as leaders in regional broadcasting in an informal and safe space. The highly interactive sessions offered tools and techniques to help build confidence in both themselves and their leadership. There was a lot of talking and discussion. 

The training was led by Linda Hermansson, who works as an editorial director for SVT Sápmi in Sweden. Linda has worked as head of many different local newsrooms at SVT and has extensive leadership experience. Since 2018, she has been training SVT supervisors in leadership and feedback. She has also worked with minority editorial staff and is involved in issues related to inclusion and perspective.

- Sharing the challenges of being a woman in leadership.
- Understanding your leadership style and what how it impacts your team.
- How to develop confidence as a leader. 
- Free evening. 

Day 3
- The skills of being a coaching style leader and why it matters.
- Sharing our work dilemmas. Get your colleagues help in moving forward.
