RTBF as structural Partner of Vidéographies (a non profit organisation dedicated to innovation ) is organizing in LIEGE a Video Festival on the 17, 18 and 19 th of March called EUROVIDEO 2015
We would like the CIRCOM regional members to help us identify and recruit participants from their region to take part in this European artistic competition.
We search young artists and directors (not more than 30 years old) to send us digital videos or films normally less than 10 minutes long.
We are open for all forms and content: video art as a general category, but taking whatever innovative form : web-art, performances, clips, fiction etc...
We are looking for originality and innovation in terms of treatment,technique or content.
EUROVIDEO 2015 will be in coproduction with MONS 2015 (European Capital of Culture) and in liaison with three other professionnal European partners involved in visual arts:
- The Ludwig Forum in Aachen, a long time avant-garde innovator for video art .
- Duplex 100M2, a well known Gallery in Sarajevo connected with the French Institute in the City.
- Tabakalera, the main cultural Center in relationship with the Foundation Donostia-San Sebastian (European Capital of Culture 2016)
Our aim : discover and promote new European young creators of digital videos or films ready to help renovate audiovisual production.
We would like the CIRCOM Regional members to inform , hopefully identify and send towards us interesting young people with exciting short productions.
A positive offer: according to the Regulations of the Competition, as soon as a TV station becomes, in this operation, a partner of RTBF and Vidéographies, it will have the right to receive and broadcast the Palmarès as edited by RTBF and Vidéographies.
The event will take place in the THEATRE DE LIEGE.
- The GRAND PRIX EUROVIDEO will be 2500€.
- Two Prizes of 1250€ will be given for innovative technology, style or content .
- Those three Prizes will attributed by an European professional Jury.
An originality: the Competition will be transmitted by the web towards the Cafés Europa .The Cafés Europa are an initiative of MONS 2015.It means rooms where young people interested in new technologies and art can meet and discover innovations and digital productions in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
There will be Cafés in a few places: Mons, Donostia-San Sebastian, Pilzen, Sarajevo, Strasbourg etc....
A Prize of 1250€ will be given by the votes of the audiences from the Cafés Europa.
Students and young artists will find all the information necessary to take their chance (in English and French) on the site www.videographies.be .
The final date for inscription and transmission of the works has been fixed on February the 28th 2015.
