The Grand Prix was chosen as the standout entry among all genre category winners, making it the overall “Best of the Best” in this year’s competition.

The judges recognized high quaility of the awarded drama - there is a beautiful scenery, imposing castles and wonderful views of natural beauty. The production values are high and this is an ambitious production made by MG Alba with partners. It is very fascinating and impressive that the drama is produced in the Gaelic language. This will help spread knowledge of the language when making such quality entertainment for a wider audience. Good dramas are made all over the world – but this is special.

Mojca Recek, president of Prix CIRCOM said:

The Entertainment and drama shows may not be everyday output in many regions. But it is often in such programmes that you find the real heartbeat of a region and its culture.

The award, is sponsored by TVP, and the presentation was made by the President of CIRCOM Regional, Eivind Undrum Jacobsen, from NRK Norway. The trophy was collected by Arabella Page Croft, Margaret Cameron and Sorcha Groundsell from MG ALBA, Scotland, the Gaelic language channel associated with BBC Scotland.
