This 2-days workshop helps anyone managing a team to understand how their style of leadership impacts team members and how well they work.
What can participants expect?
You can expect a highly interactive workshop which offers practical tools as well as the chance to share experiences with colleagues from across European regional TV stations. It helps to build confidence and leadership know-how with discussion and self-reflection on 3 key themes:
• Are you a manager or a leader? - What’s the difference and why does it matter when going through change?
• Clarity & Feedback - Does your team understand what’s expected of them? And how effective is your feedback so they know how to do better tomorrow?
• Empowerment - Create leaders not followers. Why, and how can you do this?
Who’s this training designed for?
This training is suitable to those who are new to the role of leading people as well as those who are more experienced. It doesn’t matter which platform you work on, whether you’re editorial or technical.
Who will lead the workshop?
The workshop is led by Linda Hermansson from SVT, help by Gordana Škaljac Narančić from HRT.

Where and when will the workshop be held?
The workshop will be held at EITB, Capuchinos, Basurtu Kalea 2, Basurto-Zorroza, 48013 Bilbao, Biscay
Arrival date: Wednesday 8th April with a welcome dinner at 19:00hrs at the Izan Ongi.
Thursday 9 April: workshop
Friday 10 April: workshop until 15:30hrs
Departure date: Friday 10th April after 15:30hrs
Accommodation at the ABBA Hotel in Bilbao, at a special price for CIRCOM members.
Overnight stay including breakfast.
Single room: €105.00/night
Double room: €119.00/night
VAT (10%) is included.
Once your registration is accepted, we will send you the contact details of the hotel so that you can make your own reservation.
Lunches at the EITB dining area. The service is buffet-style will be offered by CIRCOM.
Who pays for what?
The training is free of charge for CIRCOM Regional Members (as well as the welcome dinner) but delegates must pay for their own travel, dinners, and accommodation.
