They Will Make a Man of You. Silenced Deaths (Et faran un home. Morts silenciades), produced by CCMA Catalonia, Spain, has been awarded the Grand Prix 2026.
The announcement was made at the gala awards ceremony at the 42nd CIRCOM Annual Conference, hosted by Finland’s public broadcaster Yle.
The Grand Prix was chosen as the standout entry among all genre category winners, making it the overall “Best of the Best” in this year’s competition.
Mojca Recek, president of Prix CIRCOM said:
This year Prix CIRCOM received a record-breaking 272 entries - proof that regional public service media in not only alive but thriving. Congratulations to CCMA Catalonia for winning the Grand Prix, to all other category winners and the commended, and to all who took part in this year's Prix.
The award is sponsored by TVP, and the presentation was made by the President of CIRCOM Regional, Eivind Undrum Jacobsen, from NRK Norway, who said:
A wonderful gala celebration was fully justified by such excellent programming and evidence of programming skils. It shows how much public broadcast media contribute to society.
The trophy was collected by Mireia Prats Riera and Joan Torrents Puigvert from CCMA, public service media from Catalonia, Spain.
Joining the congratulations is Gordana Škaljac Narančić, Secretary General of CIRCOM Regional, who said: The evening of presentation was a validation of the range and quality of TV skills in the regions of Europe. I congratulate the winners of the Grand Prix as well as all the category winners and the commended entries.
